Abstract

The purpose of this study are improve students science process skill and physics achievement in class X.C MAN 2 Jember year 2013/2014. The laid of the research in classroom action research. Technique to collect the data are test observation, and interview. The data analyse techniques are descripetive quantitative, by using normalized gain (Ng). The fudings of this study are: (1) students science processes skills improve from pre-cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 0.74 and to cycle 2 is 0.89. (2) studens physics achievements improve from pre-cycle to cycle 1 and to cycle 2 are 0.38 and 0.71. The research can be concluded that by using the guided inquiry model:  (1) students science process skills are improve from precycle to cycle 1 and cycle 2 are in high category. (2) students physics achievment are in medium category from pre-cycle to cycle 1 and in high category from precycle to cycle 2.
